“Our children are here to help us grow.

They come into the world smaller and more pure than us, but they hold so much wisdom for us to learn from.

They will reflect back to us all of the parts we have not healed yet, they will hold us accountable for our baggage.

Our Children will help us grow through all of the uncomfortable moments so that we can reach our fullest potential.

They are wise beyond their years, and when we connect deeply and give them our undivided attention they show us this wisdom and they communicate their needs quiet clearly.

It is not the child that needs the work done, it is the parent who will be taught the grandest lessons in life through the child.”

Postpartum Planning Session

Have you thought about what life will be like after you’ve had your baby? What your needs will be and how you can enjoy this sacred time with your new baby and family whilst feeling cared for, nourished and supported? The initial 12 week period after your baby is born is known as the fourth trimester, during this time you will be recovering from your birth, adjusting to your new role as a mother (potentially with other siblings too), supporting your baby with their transition earth-side, learning how to breastfeed and settle your baby. It’s so important for you to have a support team around you so that you can rest, nourish yourself and bond with your baby, hopefully avoiding some of life’s normal chores.

I’m here to help you figure out what you would like your fourth trimester to be like, what it would take for you to feel supported and create a realistic plan that will work for your family and life circumstances. Postpartum stretches far beyond the first twelve weeks and we can discuss that too.

Our chat can include:

  • Identifying who your support people are and how they can help you

  • The power of speaking up and asking for help as well as practices you could implement if you don’t feel like you’re currently very good at it

  • How to nourish yourself without needing to cook all the time and what food is best for you to eat

  • How you choose to feed your baby and what success feels like for you

  • Determining what you want your partner to help you with and communicating this to them

  • Strategies to help you get the sleep/rest that you need

  • The reality of baby sleep and feeding

  • Normalising how having a baby can change the relationship dynamic with your partner as you transition into parenthood

  • Ideas for how you can introduce your other children to their new sibling and support them during this transition

  • Identifying if you need to hire additional support such as a cleaner, doula, postpartum meal services, baby sitter for other children

  • Knowing and/or identifying what your boundaries are in relation to visitors and family members (especially if you have tricky family members to navigate)

  • Ideas for how you can take care of your body, mind and spirit

  • What happens after the first 12 weeks

Investment: $120 for 60 minutes

Birth Story Listening

A time for you to share your birth story in a safe space where you will be heard and held. Process the layers of your experience with no judgement or opinion. Release your thoughts, feelings and emotions. You might feel like you need to make sense of what happened or sometimes it might simply be an opportunity to be seen and heard by someone that isn’t your partner, family or friends. I am not a counsellor or a therapist but I am a woman, mother and doula who understands birth, the medical system and the impacts of trauma.

These sessions will be 1.5 - 2 hours in length and can be held in person (location dependant) or via video call. Each session will be different from woman to woman. I can suggest further healing options outside of our session if you feel you need it.

Investment: From $160 per session

Motherhood Support

I can support you at any phase of your mothering journey. Whether it be the early newborn days or months or years down the track, because motherhood is forever.

It is a time to have a support network that you can rely on to share the highs and the lows and to make sense of what’s happening on the days when you’re feeling unsure. Often it’s just a listening ear that you may need and some gentle reassurance that you’ve got this mama! You can count on me for that. Instead of the endless google searches that often create more anxiety you can ask me all the questions you’ve got spinning around in your head. As a mama who has been there, I get it!

Your baby will be your greatest teacher. This is a gift. I can help you understand what is there for you to learn and grow from.

Our babies develop so quickly and sometimes this can present challenges with sleep and behaviour. It can be really helpful to share what you’re experiencing and know that you are not alone in this, it is normal and a phase that will pass. I can suggest strategies to help you through these times.

I offer judgement free listening and no opinions, just loving guidance and support.

I am not a medical professional and am unable to provide medical advice for you and your baby at any time. I will always suggest speaking to a medical professional if I feel it is necessary and can offer recommendations for practitioners if required.

If this feels like the kind of support that you need, please reach out for a free chat so you can get to know me first.
